Working to help fulfill teenager wishlists for Christmas

While this is very exciting to help bring the holiday to teens we need to be aware that it is also a delicate situation.
How it works
If you choose to sponsor a teen, we ask that you spend $100 per teen as these are the guidelines provided to us that we have agreed to abide by and to pass on.
If you choose to take part in this very meaningful and fulfilling event there will be three options for you to choose from.
Ways That You Can Contribute:
1. Be assigned a teen and you will be provided with a random ID number that helps us to identify the teenager. You will receive the teens age, sex, first, second and third item on their wish list as well as their sizing.
2. Sponsor a teen and Venmo or Donate via our website $100 directly to The Joseph and Leslie Carr Foundation Inc. with your name as well as labeling the donation "Teen present program". Our elves will do the shopping and fill their wishlist FROM you.
3. You can purchase items directly from our amazon Wishlist within a variety of price ranges and have shipped direct to the foundation. PLEASE include that it is a wishlist item on your gift slip.
Frequently Asked Questions
What if they didn't specify exactly what they wanted?
Sometimes these lists are very specific and other times, very vague and we need to do some guessing. Ask your own teens or neighbors to help with the lists. If their first-choice item is $100, it is okay to purchase just the one item. If you are a few dollars over or under, that’s okay too!
How do we get the presents to you?
There are THREE ways to get them to us!
1. Presents can be sent via shipping service directly to the foundation which we will provide via email. PLEASE ensure your teen ID number and your name is on the notes section of the gift receipt so we can keep track
2. Presents can be dropped directly to the foundation in Shirley Mass, which we will provide via email, at anytime of day/night into a large, sealed container at the mailbox labeled JLC Foundation on it.
3. Dropped off on Saturday night December 5th at Sterling Street Brewery, 175 Sterling St, Clinton MA between 6 and 8 pm
Can we wrap the presents?
Unfortunately, they cannot be wrapped as they must be checked by us and then by the social workers. You CAN add wrapping paper, tissue paper, tape, boxes, confetti or anything festive to the bags that you wish. They will get passed on!
What can/can't go in the gifts?
Please no candy, gum, chocolate, drinks or any food product. No clothing with profanity, inappropriate slogans etc. They will be removed. If the teen requests makeup, please be mindful that the world is kaleidoscope of colors and avoiding anything needing to color match.
Why did my friend get their teen wish list, and I don't have mine yet? Did you forget about me?
As if we ever would!! The lists comes to us in a rolling fashion. One day we may get 50 teens and it may be several more days before we receive more lists. Our social workers are working around the clock to help as many families out as possible, every day. We roll with their timeline
For those of you that attended the golf tournament the past few years you most likely heard us state that the most requested item from the teens we bought presents for last year was a blanket. Upon quick review of the requested items, an overwhelming majority remains as blankets, coats, and "warm" clothes.
