Scholarship Application

The Joseph and Leslie Carr Foundation is offering a $1000 non-renewable scholarship

for up to ten graduating seniors.

Eligibility:

1. Must be a Resident of any one of the following towns:

  • Ayer

  • Billerica

  • Clinton

  • Dracut

  • Fitchburg

  • Lancaster

  • Leominster

  • Lowell

  • Shirley

  • Sterling

2. Graduating senior status

3. Post-Graduate enrollment in 2026 for any of the following:

a) four-year college or university

b) two-year college

c) university extension

d) vocational or technical school

Application deadline: Tuesday March 31st at 11:59 PM, 2026
By applying for this scholarship, applicant agrees to zoom interview in final stage, and to be photographed for charity social media and website.

Winners will be contacted via email and phone call and text. Response required within 72 hours

For your reference, for all of the open form questions below (starting with High School Activities) we remove ALL references that may help a volunteer scholarship reader identify you, where you live/work/go to school /may attend college to prevent any unintentional bias. It makes the process easier if you don’t reference those items in your application. For instance, rather than saying you’ve spent 4 years volunteering with Billerica Youth Basketball, you’d say you have volunteered with the local youth basketball program. Rather than saying you plan to attend Harvard University to study biology, you’d say that you plan to attend university to study biology.
